Superintendent - Berton E. Owens Jr.
Bert has over 30 years experience in small boat repair having
started his boat builder career at Columbia Yacht working in all phases of
construction of high quality sailing vessels. Bert is an experienced Boat
Builder with experience in Fiberglass repair, tooling and fabrication,
mechanical and propulsion systems installation and repair. Bert has an extensive
knowledge of US Navy small craft from the7 meter RHIB to the 50’ Utility Boat.
Bert has been a Supervisor or Superintendent with Davis Boat Works Inc. since
1984 and has experience managing and estimating government and commercial jobs
and interfacing with existing and new customers.
Lead Technician - Andrew (Andy) Rieken
Formally with Alligator Marine, Andy has the following
experience and skill sets: Zodiac certified rubber repair tech, Hamilton Jet
trained, currently acquiring BRP engine tech certification for 55hp Multi
Fuel Engine, Weber engine I/O certified. On the job experience with Cummins,
Yanmar and Volvo I/O engines, stern drives and rigging systems. On the job
experience with BRP, Honda, Yamaha and Mercury outboards and rigging
systems. On the job experience with Furuno, Raymarine and Garmin navigation
systems. On the job experience with Shock Mitigation Seating Systems

Technician – Berton (Chip) E. Owens III
has been an Employee of Davis Boat Works Inc. for a number of years as a machine
tool operator and outside machinist. He has completed the Zodiac Military
Inflatable Boat Repair Course to the highest echelon of proficiency. Chip is
also an experienced engine mechanic and builder and recently completed the first
and second level of BRP training.
